About Alaska Airlines

The rich history of Alaska dates back to 1932 when Harvey Barnhill and Linious “Mac” McGee started Barnhill & McGee Airways. However, later after few months it was solely owned and operated by Mac McGee with a new name McGee Airways. In the year 1935 McGee Airways was sold to Star Air Service. With the passage of time many more companies came together and merged with Star Air Service. However, in the year 1944, the airline got its final name “Alaska Airline” the name it is known today.
In present times, Alaska Airlines is one of the largest operating airlines on America's west coast. It is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, whereas its main operating hub is located at Los Angeles International Airport. Baggage Allowance

One Carry-on baggage is permitted along with one item like briefcase, purse, and laptop bag for free. However, there is a certain size and weight restriction, which states that the carry-on baggage size must not exceed 45 linear inches (24 x 17 x 10 in) or 115 centimeters (61 x 43 x 25 cm) including wheels and handles.
Alaska Airlines permits two checked baggage, which must not exceed the size of 62 inches or 157 centimeters and the weight of 50 pounds or 23 kilograms.
