In-Flight Entertainment

Flying with Westjet Airlines passengers can download the WestJet app for free in order to stream hours of entertaining content directly for their tablet, phone, or laptop. Flights which are not equipped with this system are going to be equipped with In-flight entertainment screens built into the back of their aircraft’s seats. 

Movies

Westjet flights offers the passengers flying with movies for all the family, from animated family movies to exciting new releases. The selection of movie is frequently updated in order to keep one entertained on board of their flight. 

TV

The selection of the airlines TV shows offers something for passengers of all ages and tastes. Passengers can find sitcoms, cartoons and engaging documentaries onboard your flight. 

Meal Options

For economy flights not on the Boeing 787, passengers are provided with a complimentary sweet or savory snack. They can also purchase additional items from the onboard menu, and hot meals are available to them for purchase on selected services and passengers on flights longer than 2.5 hours can pre-purchase items from the menu up to 48 hours before traveling. For passengers traveling in economy or on long-haul flights, they are offered with complimentary food from the onboard menu which can be found online. 

Passengers which are traveling in the premium cabin, for flights from 1 to 2.5 hours, can enjoy a selection of sweet and savory snacks. Flights which are over 2.5 hours can enjoy meals exclusive to the premium menu, which is included in their premium fare. Passengers can enjoy Westjet Canadian-landscape inspired menu in Business Class, with a choice of salads, desserts and mains available at any time for your convenience. 

Dietary Requirements

The airlines offer a selection eight different special meal which can be arranged by calling the call center of the airline up to 24 hours in advance. The available meals are:

•    Diabetic meal
•    Gluten-free meal
•    Hindu-meal (Non-vegetarian) meal
•    Kosher meal
•    Muslim meal
•    Non-Lactose meal
•    Vegan meal

Alcohol and Drinks

The passengers with Westjet booking flying in economy are provided with complimentary soft drinks, coffee and tea. The additional beverages offered includes beer, spirits and wine and can be purchased on board. 

The business and premium class passengers can enjoy a selection of beverages which are also included in their fare. This includes alcoholic drinks such as beer, wine and spirits, along with hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks. 

In addition, passengers flying in business class are also offered a welcome drink of champagne. 

Wi-Fi

The airlines offer paid inflight Wi-Fi on board most of its flights. This service is available once the plane hits the cruise altitude, and can be found via the WestJet Connect App. Passengers are going to need to download the WestJet Connect app on their personal device boarding their plane, or they will not be able to download it and use once in flight. 

The internet can only be used for browsing of the web, email services and for social media. Passengers cannot stream videos such as Netflix. 

Frequent Flyer

Westjet operates a frequent flyer program known as WestJet rewards to reward regular passengers with the airline. There are currently three different tiers of membership programs including Teal, Silver and Gold. 

Members can earn miles and then free checked bags, companion flights and airport lounge vouchers. In order to earn WestJet dollars, passengers are going to need to provided their WestJet Rewards ID when booking their flights, Vacations Packages, or book car rentals and hotels online.
